We don’t blame them for being like this… It’s who they are right now at their unique stage of life. Some people do not even know that they are toxic because no one ever told them! So they continue to be toxic without making a change…

As you spend time with yourself more, you start to recognize whose energy is good for you and whose energy you need to stay away from. Luckily, we can remove toxic friends and relatives from our lives once we have identified them

But, what about our toxic colleagues? How do we remove them?

They are the people you have to interact with on a daily basis. You see them in your department every single day. Whether you like it or not, you just cannot ignore them or pretend that they don’t exist.

So what do we do?

We spend 8-9 hours in a company and we certainly do not want anyone’s negativity around for Nine hours!

Who would want that? That’s a shitty way to live…

Once I spot a toxic colleague, I do not maintain a long conversation with them. That’s what I used to do; ignore them or just let it go.

However, what I’ve observed is how people would listen quietly when a toxic colleague is spreading gossips or just talking shit, even if they are being mentally affected.

Of course, do it in a calm way as you are in a place of work.

Protect your energy. Protect your space. Even if you are in a corporate environment.

  1. Luckily I haven’t had to deal with toxic colleagues yet as everyone at my company is so lovely. I do not put up with toxic people though. From a young age I realised they just drained me and there was absolutely no reason to tie yourself to them, just cut them off. Loved this post girly!! xx
