Cover Me Bad By: Rose Silverstone

I, Scarlet Townsend, didn’t believe I could be any happier.

Life with Carver Wilson has been wonderful. On the night of my dinner to finally unite my two very separate lives, as mother to Ashton and Elise Lathrop and Carver’s girlfriend, my past comes to literally kick my door in.

Denver Lathrop has known me all of my life. With that knowledge comes a truth. It’s a truth that I have to face if I am going to ever have a future with anyone, especially ex-special forces, Carver Wilson. There is a part of me no one else, but Denver knows. His belief is why shouldn’t he get the girl since he knows my life story inside and out.

The crazy thing is part of me has the exact same question but no answer. Damn son-of-a-bitch fireman coming in and disrupting my good … average … decent life. What am I supposed to do with all the crap he stirs up?

Continuing the critically acclaimed story of TUNNEL VISION:

Jake thinks he has only one more step and he’ll be free: he has to get the serum to stop his ability to tunnel—to find and control people through objects. But Jake’s contact has been killed, and there’s no sign of the serum. Then Jake’s mom and little sister Myka are kidnapped, right under his nose. With the government, his power-mad father, and the terrifying Mr. Smith all after him while he still has his power, he doesn’t have anywhere to turn.

What will Jake do to get his mom and little sister back?

THE DARK AT THE END Interview with Susan Adrian

1.Tell us a bit about yourself!
By day I’m a scientific editor. I edit other people’s words, do layout of reports and publications, do marketing and publicity, and manage a staff. I live with my husband and daughter in Montana, and get to do all the full-time mom stuff too! I write in the early mornings and on weekends, and am part of a great, supportive community of YA and MG authors. Short answer: I keep busy.
2.What’s the publication story of THE DARK AT THE END?
TUNNEL VISION came out in January of 2015 and did really well, but for various reasons, as is quite common, the publisher didn’t pick up the sequel. However, I left the ending of TUNNELVISION a bit ambiguous on purpose, and I definitely had an ending I wanted for Jake and his family and friends. It was important to me to get that story out to the readers who enjoyed TUNNEL VISION. Since THE DARK AT THE END was already drafted, I did the rest of the work and released it myself!
3.Tell us about that cover. It’s so dark and ominous!
I’m so proud of that cover. I designed it myself, with some help from my fabulous agent, Kate Schafer Testerman. When I saw that photo, I just knew that was IT. It was absolutely Jake, staring into what should be the light at the end of the tunnel and wondering how it still went wrong. And the font fit perfectly too.
4.TUNNEL VISION is a twisty thriller, with lots of surprises. Are there any surprises in DARK?
Of course! I can’t resist twists. And surprise deaths (whoops). And surprise characters, who shake up everything you knew before…
.THE DARK AT THE END also has a little more romance, since Rachel is in it a lot more. Though she and Jake still don’t have an easy time!
5.What’s your favorite part of the book?
The ending! No question. That’s the ending I had in mind since the very beginning, and I’m so, so
glad I got to get it out there for readers. I hope you like it too!

Genre: NA Urban Fantasy/Elfpunk

Release Date: September 26th 2016

Leap Books: Shine

Saving the world, one tour stop at a time.

Eighteen-year-old Bitsy Butler has never quite fit in, not with the dragons who raised her, the druid who took her in, or even with the non-human members of the cirque noir punk band she thinks of as family. Her chance to prove she can make it on her own comes with her band’s first big solo tour. It’s all going according to plan when an angel walks into a bar and demands help with his demon problem.
If she doesn’t step up, a magical war will break out, threatening Arizona and all those who call it home. With the help of a human, a sexy dragon, and the members of her band, Bitsy must stop an angry mob of chaos demons before the band leaves for their next tour stop.
It’s nice to be needed, but Bitsy has no idea how to defeat the demons and she just might get herself killed trying. But then, at least one problem would be solved…
Fitting in doesn’t matter if you’re dead.

Wed by Wednesday By Sarah O’Rourke

Wed by Wednesday

What happens when a naive city girl answers a personal ad to marry a bachelor farmer from the hills of Tennessee? Destiny! Read how Orla and Jethro’s story started back in the 1960s…and find out exactly how deliciously naughty these two can be!   This insta-love 50,000-word novel is filled with humor, romance, and just enough erotica to keep you coming back for more.  Wed by Wednesday is the prequel to Sarah O’Rourke’s Paradise series, and like all of her books, it can be read as a standalone.

“Listen, chaste kisses are fine for what they are. Quick exchanges of affection. An innocent way to tell somebody they mean something. When you wanna show a woman that she’s what’s lighting the fire in your gut, though… quick and innocent pecks just don’t do the trick. Nah, a man goes dark and dirty for that kind of lesson. He wants his woman wet and hot. And he wants her that way everywhere. Her mouth. Her core. Everywhere.”

“Thirty- one?” Orla echoed faintly.  “He’s thirty-one?”  The longer Nellie talked, the less this man sounded like the one she’d been corresponding with for weeks.  Why, her Jethro, was sweet and soft-spoken, and certainly not as old as thirty-one.  No.  Her Jethro was nothing like the animal the older woman was describing.

“Yes, ma’am.  He surely is.  I changed that rascal’s diapers myself,” Nellie announced with a decisive nod, her eyes widening as she apparently noticed the surprise on young

Orla’s face.  “What?” You mean to say that you didn’t know how old your beau was?”

“Well, not his exact age.  I mean, his letters indicated he was older than me.  I just assumed there were only a few years between us,” Orla confided in a strangled whisper.  Hells bells!  Her future husband had over a whole decade’s experience on her.  What in the world about her would attract a worldly, well-off man like him?  “Why hasn’t he wed before now then?” she asked without realizing she’d spoken out loud.

Nellie was quick with an answer to her question, however.  “Oh, many a girl around these parts have tried to lasso Jethro’s heart, but that surly demeanor of his runs all decent women right off his scent once they get a whiff of how crabby he is for two thirds the day.”

“What’s he doin’ for the other third?” Orla asked shakily.

“Oh, he’s sleepin’.  Collectin’ his strength so he can keep his title as the world’s most boorish bachelor and all such manner of things.  Truly, ‘bout the only time I’ve heard him stay civil for more than fifteen minutes is the hour long sermon we all sit through once a week at the church. And maybe once or twice a year when he’s paying his respects at his dear departed momma and daddy’s grave or something such.  Otherwise, he’s blunt as a hammer and speaks with a tongue sharper than any knife you’ll ever come across.”
