So, you have decided to start a business online, great! Let’s say, your company is going to sell Sports shoes for athletes. So, how do you start selling and attracting your customers?

The online world has become a crowded marketplace for both the companies and the customer. Though it may seem very easy to attract a large audience in the social world, it is important to start marketing with the right techniques. A simple online presence on the internet is not enough.

What is a Buyer Persona? 

A buyer persona is a fictional character who represents your ideal customer. By creating a buyer persona, you get into the mindset of your potential customers and you start to think like them.

Gone are the days where marketing and products were forced onto the customers. Now, the customers have choices and buyer personas help in being the right choice. In other words, it’s being in the shoes of your customers leading to creating the right content to both attract and retain your customers.

Steps to add Google Webmaster to your WordPress blog or website

  1. Log in to your Google account first. If you don’t have, create one as you would need a Google account to use the webmaster tools.

2.  Enter in the Google Webmaster Tool

Here’s the link: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools

3. You will need to add your blog or website URL

4. Next, you will have to verify your site

Click on “Verify the property”

This page will appear. If you own your website, follow the steps in the Recommended method. Else, click on the Alternate methods.

Select the first option itself: the HTML Tag.

Copy the Meta tag and open your dashboard of your WordPress blog in another page.

Paste the Meta tag in the option of Google Webmaster Tools and click on save changes.

5. Come back to your verification page and click verify.

Congratulations! You have verify your site on Google Webmaster Tool!

Next, you are going to receive an email on how you can set up your Search Console.

    Facebook has introduced a new marketing tool namely, the Facebook audience insights which allows to have a detailed information about your population. It is really helpful in the sense that you get to know more about your target audience and reach out to them in a more interactive way.

    First, head to facebook.com/ads/audience_insights.

    You can choose from the two options:

    • People on Facebook (the general Facebook audience)
    • People connected to your Page or event

    From the images below, the complete demographic profile of Facebook users in your country are shown. The demographic profile include the Age and Gender, Lifestyle, education level, Relationship Status and Job Title.

    From the sidebar, the location, age range and interests can be changed.

    The Facebook audience insights is very useful, especially when you are advertising a product or service via a Facebook page. For example, in the “Activity” section, it provides you a detailed indication on how frequently your target audience are logging onto Facebook and on what devices they are doing so.
